A Modern Rustic Design

A Rustic Kitchen Design

Blending the old and the new doesn’t have to be as difficult as it sounds, as Mr and Mrs Temple soon found out with the help of the My Beautiful Kitchen team.

They wanted to update their kitchen while keeping some of the more rustic features, such as their range stove, intact and in keeping with the overall feel of the kitchen. Easier said than done, but with careful consideration and a complete kitchen overhaul, the Temples were treated to the kitchen of their dreams.

Although the original kitchen space is quite small, it doesn’t feel that way thanks to the Buttermilk Ivory kitchen units and the stark contrast offered by the Silestone Negro Stellar worktops, their glittering dark surface adding depth to the kitchen. A small kitchen island was added to the centre of the room rather than a kitchen table, which further adds to the feeling of extra space. Perfect for entertaining, it accommodates two seats and a wine rack.

This was a tricky brief but blending the old and the new doesn’t have to be as difficult as it sounds, as Mr and Mrs Temple soon found out with the help of the My Beautiful Kitchen team. They wanted to update their kitchen while keeping some of the more rustic features, such as their range stove, intact and in keeping with the overall feel of the kitchen. Easier said than done, but with careful consideration and a complete kitchen overhaul, the Temples were treated to the kitchen of their dreams.

Plenty of new fixtures and appliances were cleverly integrated into the kitchen so the Temples could make the very most of their space. A Blanco Supreme under mount bowl sink immediately updates this kitchen, and the Blanco BM/5300/CH CLEO lever mixer tap adds to this. The team seamlessly integrated a Hotpoint full size dishwasher, washing machine and a vented tumble drier into the kitchen space as well as a Hotpoint fridge freezer, while allowing the Temples’ stunning range stove to be the focus of attention in the kitchen.

The beautiful new kitchen is lit up by modern triangle lighting in brushed stainless steel as well as halogen down lights, perfect for task lighting. The deep red ceramic wall tiling was provided by the Temples themselves, and draws focus into the depths of the kitchen, making it feel even bigger. Finally, a Pergo Kamala beige laminate flooring was chosen, its neutral tones allowing the kitchen’s worktops and tiling to draw the eye.

Overall, the Temples were truly delighted with their kitchen. Having spent some time searching for the right team, the Temples settled on the My Beautiful Kitchen team for a complete kitchen re-design.

The Temples were very happy that their final kitchen was of superior quality and that all facets of the job were included by the team.

The Temples rated their experience extremely highly in terms of value for money, stating that it was certainly “money well spent!”
