Choose A Handless Kitchen From My Beautiful Kitchen

Choose A Handle-less Kitchen Design

Handle-less kitchens are enjoying a real upsurge in popularity, and not simply because they look great. But because they can add a whole new dimension of convenience to your kitchen too. The latest technology makes it easy to operate the doors when you’ve got your hands full. And, as for cleaning, well, it’s as easy as wipe-and-go. No handles mean no awkward bits and bobs to clean.

Getting a handle on style

Handle-less kitchens might look modern, but they’ve been around awhile, since the 60s in fact, when they were seen as the ultimate futuristic kitchen and a cool way to integrate asymmetrical look into a kitchen plan.

Of course, the big selling point here is style. Simply check out the streamlined, uncluttered look of the Remo White to get an idea of what the handle-less look could do for your kitchen. As you can see, without handles, the materials used in the construction do all the talking, which is one reason why handle-less kitchens work so well with gloss finishes. For a real up-to-the minute look, try incorporating vinyl wrapped or foil finishes. Or, partner exotic veneers with gloss lacquers to accentuate the clean lines of the design. That’s not to say handle-less doors can’t be incorporated into curved designs. Incorporate handle-less doors in your kitchen plan and the options are virtually endless.

If you’re into open plan living, then a handle-less kitchen could be ideal, as it offers a smoother transition from dining room to kitchen. Handles can often interfere with the composition of having both spaces together.

Convenience at your fingertips

Since the 60s, there have been plenty of advances in hinge mechanisms, giving you more choice when it comes to operating doors and drawers. In the past, mechanisms were easily damaged, stiff and awkward to operate. That certainly isn’t the case anymore. From finger trims, recessed handles and concealed rails to a full range of electric/electronic systems, opening and closing doors has become effortless, offering more convenience of operation than ever before.

Due to the cost of manufacturing complex operating systems, a handle-less kitchen was often viewed as an expensive option. However, with new manufacturing and design methodology, thankfully, that’s no longer the case. Today, handless kitchens are within reach for most people and will add flair, style and convenience to their kitchen.

Clean lines

Once in place, the practical benefits of a handle-less kitchen become immediately apparent. With fewer nooks and crannies for dirt to accumulate, a handle-less kitchen design is ideal for a space where, clearly, a good standard of hygiene is important. No specialist cleaning apparatus is needed other than a good cloth for wiping and polishing. There are safety benefits too. There are no handles to snag clothes on or for children to run into.

Here’s something else to think about. If you’re planning a new kitchen and simply can’t decide on the choice of handles, consider not having any at all. Instantly, that’s one less thing to worry about.

Hope this helps
