Making White Look Right

Making White Look Alright!

Even the smallest kitchen can look stunning – when given the My Beautiful Kitchen treatment. Take this project, for example, carried out for the Dunns from Crookston.

Our clients wanted more space to enjoy, so the design team opened up the room by walling up the original doorway and creating a new and more accessible opening into the hallway.

The kitchen chosen in this instance is the Avant White High Gloss kitchen – a good choice as the reflective qualities of the bright white finish makes the new space feel even bigger. A pastel blue colour scheme was chosen for contrast.

The result is a really attractive kitchen that looks much bigger than it actually is.

Putting innovation and creativity into action

Perhaps the most innovative element in this kitchen is the tiered worktop that provides an additional level of functionality. While inside the kitchen, the worktop is raised for carrying out prep work, the outside of the units has a lower level that is the perfect height for an informal breakfast bar.

The worktops are Mistral coffee cream, another good choice, as they add extra interest to the white colour scheme

 Packed with features and style

For the sink, our popular Blanco Plus stainless steel sink was installed with a lever mixer tap, while the oven is a Hotpoint built-under model in stainless steel with a matching Hotpoint 4-burner gas hob.

A curved glass extractor fan was fitted above this, neatly completing the cooking area. The fridge/freezer is also Hotpoint, in this instance, a top-of-the-range integrated KHM325FF model.

In the planning stage of any kitchen, we always try to get a full idea of our customers needs, as we understand that its little customisation that can add personality to a kitchen. We also made a feature of the white Oceanus radiator.

We love it when a plan comes together

To complete this project, all we needed to do was bring the flooring and lighting up to date. This was achieved through Pergo Lounge Slate laminate and low wattage triangle under lights, coupled with recessed down lights for general lighting.

Mr & Mrs Dunn were very delighted with the entire project, making special mention of our designers. And, of course, If you would like a new kitchen but not sure where to begin then why not give us a call on 0141 771 3640 and we can discuss your design ideas.
