See The Difference Just A Few Days Can Make!

From humble beginnings…
The team had plenty to work with. The Weirs’ existing kitchen, despite being a good size, was cluttered, drab and, well, a little dull. There was a distinct over-dominance of white, off-white and greys throughout. Although our clients didn’t want anything too loud, quirky or colourful, it wouldn’t take much to introduce a bit of soul into this kitchen.
There was some preparation work to be completed first. Getting the basics right first can make all the difference to the end-product, so all the walls were replastered and reframed by the recommended installation teams.
Time to choose the kitchen and the lovely couple opted for the Porto Lisa Oak kitchen, which would introduce subtle colour through the elegant oak grain and hue. The cabinets have been accessorised with Tbars – always a good look and very practical too as they make operating doors a breeze.
Straightaway, you can see the difference, especially when teamed up with Brazilian Brown Quartz work surfaces. Note how we used that same material for a waterproof splashblack that extends onto the windowsill giving a congruous look. To each side of the window, contoured cupboard units make sensible use of space and become focal points in the kitchen.
When quality counts…
For cooking, the Weirs went with the best of both worlds with a Hotpoint electric oven, coupled with the controllability of the Hotpoint 4 gas burning hob. A curved glass chimney hood and extractor fan completes the set-up, nestled snugly between two overhead cupboards.
The fridge and freezer have become two of the most important appliances in the modern kitchen and, here, our clients have chosen the integrated Hotpoint Built Under Larder Fridge, matched with an integrated Hotpoint Built Under Freezer – a great little combo for any kitchen.
