The Kitchen Sale That Ends Every Week

The Kitchen Sale That Ends Every Week

“Kitchen Sale Glasgow – Offer Must End Tomorrow”  – This Isn’t What It Seems  –

You’re given a quote for a new kitchen. It’s quite a good offer, but you want to think it over. The salesman realises this, leans forward and says “Unfortunately, the 50% off sale ends this weekend, you need to buy now to get this price.”

Tick, tock. What Do You Do?

Welcome to the world of high-pressure sales, where things aren’t always how they appear.

Yes, the sale may end this weekend… but an identical kitchen sale in Glasgow might just start again on Monday.

“Full-Price Week At Allied Carpets”

It reminds me of an old joke by Ronnie Corbett about it being “full price week at Allied Carpets”.

In the kitchen industry limited offers come… and come back again. So what’s the purpose of these offers?

If you see a newspaper ad and the offer is good, but there’s no time limit, you can put off making the decision. This means by the time you decide to get a kitchen you’ll have forgotten the ad.

If on the other hand, the offer is good but it’s ending soon, you’ll feel the need to act quickly and impulsively.

The fear of losing out on a discount is a strong motivator. The kitchen companies know this and know that it’s far more profitable to run ads with sales discounts than ads without.

Some companies build their whole marketing strategy on.

Check out some of the big names in the kitchen industry and you will see what I mean.

If you check back in a few weeks you will see that the same offers just keep getting repeated and extended.

Is it legal? Yes!

Is it ethical? Well, that’s for you to decide. All I can say is that my company refuses to use this strategy, even though we know it’s effective.

How Do You Defend Yourself Against These Tactics?

Keep reminding yourself that there’s always another offer. What’s on sale today will be on sale in the future. If not exactly the same kitchen, a kitchen that’s just as nice.

A kitchen is a big investment – and somewhere you’ll spend many hours of your life – it deserves proper thought.
